Tree Top Walk
The TreeTop Walk is at the Epicenter of several hiking routes that offer a sneak peek of the forest in MachRitchie. The remarkable features and unique structures in this region usually leave visitors amazed.
Prepare to be enthralled by the free-standing bridge in this region that connects Bukit Kalang and Buti Peirce. At this fascinating bridge, visitors can get a clear picture of the plant and animal species that reside in the forest. This amazing walkway is 250m long and its height from the forest floor at the highest point of the region is 25 meters.
Besides being a paradise for nature lovers, this area is also a treasure for researchers, as it is home to diverse plants and animals. From the bridge, forest canopy researchers can get a bird’s eye view of the vegetative cover of the forest. Researchers can also carry out surveys that will help them understand how the ecosystem of the forest works.
It usually takes visitors between 1.5 to 2 hours to walk through the 4.5 distance between MachRitchie Reservoir Park and the entrance of the TreeTop Walk. From the car park at the Venus drive, it will take visitors 45 minutes to 1 hour to get to the entrance of TreeTop Walk. Going around the entire center, including the TreeTop Walk, may take visitors between 3 to 5 hours, as it is about 7 to 10km
