Pulau Ubin

Pulau Ubin, also known as Ubin, is west of Pulau Tekong. The granite quarry employed villagers on Pulau Ubin in the 1960s, but only 38 remained in 2012. It is one of Singapore’s last remaining rural areas, teeming with wildlife A large number of visiting and resident birds, some threatened, make the island an Important Bird Area (IBA) according to BirdLife International. Previously, 12 agencies ran the island.
